You see them everywhere these days; they look like square 8-bit blotches of spilled ink with squares in 3 out of 4 corners. These two-dimensional barcodes can contain messages such as URLs or text up to 2000 characters, and are designed to be easily read by your smartphone, simply by scanning them with the camera using a special QR reading app.
QR generator is a tiny freeware that will let you create your own QR codes and save them as images. Users can encode messages of up to 2000 characters; you can do this for fun or for any other purpose (if you can think of applications, please leave them in the comments section).
OK, so maybe it’s the geek in me, but I found it kind of fun to create these and then scan the screen with my iPhone (I used this free app).
