Dolphin Browser Updates With New Look, Improved Performance & Increased Battery Life [News]

Dolphin Browser Updates With New Look, Improved Performance & Increased Battery Life [News]:

Dolphin, a major contestant in the mobile browsing scene, has just released an update to both its iOS version (for iPhone and iPad) and its Android version. Dolphin HD 3.0 for iOS received a Speed Dial and Webzine revamp, improving the looks of both and adding some new features. In Dolphin HD 7.3 for Android, the updates are more technical, and involve Dolphin Connect, the browser’s synchronization tool, and Dolphin Companion (also known as Dolphin Battery Saver).

The updates are definitely visible in the iOS version. The entire landing page, at least on the iPad, is much nicer to look at, with a cleaner and lighter look for both the Speed Dial and the Webzine. There are some new categories and publications added to the Webzine, as well as a “What’s Hot” tab, where you can search through the various publications. According to Dolphin, the new version should also have improved performance.

On the Android version, you should see improvements to Dolphin Connect, which now has a simplified sign-up process and improved speeds. and to Dolphin Companion, Dolphin’s battery management add-on, which is now integrated better into the browser, and has the option to disable icons in the notification bar. Here too, the Webzine has been refreshed with some new publications.

What do you think of the updates?
